Possible Causes

Bottom NTC sensor open or shorted, Sensor wiring harness damaged, Connector loose on main control board, Failed NTC thermistor on heater plate

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool fully before removing the inner pot.

  • Inspect the heater plate area: Remove the inner pot and gently wipe the heater plate and surrounding area. Look for burnt-on food, discoloration, or damage around the central temperature sensor button.
  • Check sensor contact: Ensure the spring-loaded temperature sensor in the center of the heater plate moves freely when pressed lightly. It should move slightly and spring back. If stuck, gently clean around it with a soft cloth.
  • Check for moisture or spills: If liquid has spilled into the heater area, allow the unit to dry for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry environment.
  • Power reset: After drying and cleaning, plug the unit back in and test with a small amount of water in the pot. If E3 returns immediately, the bottom NTC sensor or its wiring is likely defective.
  • Advanced repair: Replacing the bottom temperature sensor usually requires opening the base and disconnecting the sensor from the main control board. If you are not experienced with appliance repair, contact a technician.
