GreenPan
Pressure Not Building
Multicooker heats but never reaches pressure; steam constantly escapes from the lid area.

Possible Causes
Steam release valve left in venting position, Damaged silicone sealing ring, Debris on lid sealing surface, Float valve O-ring leaking
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Unplug and allow the unit to depressurize fully before disassembly.
- Check valve position: Ensure the steam release handle/knob is set to the sealing position for pressure cooking.
- Inspect sealing ring: Remove and examine the silicone sealing ring for cracks, deformation, or food residue. Clean or replace as needed.
- Clean lid rim and pot rim: Wipe both surfaces with a damp cloth to remove oil and food particles that can prevent sealing.
- Check float valve: Make sure the float valve moves freely and its O-ring is intact. Replace the O-ring if it is flattened or cracked.
- Test with water only: Run a short pressure cycle with just water. If pressure still does not build, the sealing ring or valve assembly should be replaced.
