Possible Causes

Defective lid lock microswitch, Misaligned lid locking mechanism, Broken lid lock actuator, Damaged wiring from lid lock to PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the cooker before working near the lid lock. Do not force the lid closed with tools.

Step 1 – Check lid closure:

  • Open and close the lid several times, listening for a distinct click from the lock mechanism.
  • Ensure the silicone sealing ring is properly seated and not preventing full closure.

Step 2 – Inspect lid lock:

  • Remove the decorative cover around the lid handle (if present) to access the lid lock assembly.
  • Look for broken plastic parts or a stuck lock pin.
  • Clean any food residue around the lock area.

Step 3 – Test the microswitch (if equipped and accessible):

  • With the unit unplugged, locate the small lid position microswitch connected by two wires.
  • Operate the lock by hand and check continuity across the switch terminals with a multimeter.
  • No change in continuity when actuated indicates a failed switch.

Step 4 – Repair:

  • Replace the lid lock assembly or the lid microswitch if defective.
  • Check and repair any broken or loose wires between the lock and the main PCB.
  • If the hardware is fine but E7 remains, the control board input may be faulty and require replacement.
