Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation openings, Fan failure on models with internal cooling fan, Thermal fuse partially failing, Excessive buildup of grease on heating plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely. Do not cover ventilation openings during use.
Step 1 – Clean and inspect:
- Clean the heating plate and surrounding area of any grease or burnt food.
- Check the bottom and side ventilation slots for dust or obstructions; clean with a soft brush.
Step 2 – Check cooling fan (if equipped):
- Some Klarstein multicookers have an internal cooling fan near the control board.
- With the unit unplugged, spin the fan blades gently to ensure they move freely.
- If the fan is seized or noisy, it should be replaced.
Step 3 – Thermal fuse:
- Locate the thermal cutoff fuse attached to the heating plate or wiring.
- Test for continuity; if open, replace with the same temperature and current rating.
