Possible Causes
Bent lid hinge, Warped lid from overheating, Loose hinge screws, Cracked lid housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the cooker to cool and depressurize before inspecting the lid and hinge.
Step 1 – Visual inspection:
- Open the lid and inspect the hinge area for cracks or bent metal/plastic.
- Check that the lid closes evenly all around.
Step 2 – Tighten and adjust:
- Tighten any loose hinge screws.
- Gently adjust the hinge alignment so the lid sits flat on the body.
Step 3 – Replace if damaged:
- If the lid is visibly warped or cracked, replace the complete lid assembly.
- Do not attempt to repair a cracked pressure lid with glue; it will not withstand pressure safely.
