Possible Causes
Condensation collector not installed or full, Lid tilted when opening, Overfilled inner pot, Steam directed toward cabinets causing drip-back
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use caution when opening the lid to avoid hot condensation dripping on your hands.
- Check condensation collector: Ensure the condensation cup (if equipped) is installed correctly at the back of the cooker and is not full. Empty and reinstall as needed.
- Open lid away from you: When opening, tilt the lid so condensation drips back into the pot, not onto the counter.
- Avoid overfilling: Do not exceed the MAX fill line, especially for soups and boiling liquids that can splash.
- Relocate cooker: Position the cooker so steam is not directed at overhead cabinets, which can condense and drip back.
If water leakage is heavy and appears to come from seams in the housing rather than condensation, the inner vessel or lid may be cracked and should be inspected.
