E8 error appears and the cooker fails to reach or maintain pressure.

Possible Causes
Damaged silicone lid gasket, Misaligned or dirty sealing ring, Steam release valve not in sealing position, Float valve seal worn or missing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before handling the lid components.
- Check steam release position: Ensure the steam release knob or lever is set to Seal (or equivalent) when attempting pressure cooking.
- Inspect the silicone gasket: Remove the lid gasket (sealing ring), wash it with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry. Check for cracks, tears, or deformation. Reinstall it firmly in the lid groove.
- Clean lid rim and pot rim: Wipe both surfaces to remove food residue that could prevent a proper seal.
- Examine float valve: Make sure the float valve pin moves freely and that its small silicone cap is present and not split.
- Water-only test: Add at least the minimum water and run a pressure program. Watch for continuous steam escaping from the lid; if so, the gasket or valve assembly likely needs replacement.
If E8 persists with a new gasket and clean valves, there may be an internal leak path or sensor issue that requires professional service.
