Possible Causes
Lid not fully closed, Misaligned lid hinge, Dirty lid sensor area, Faulty lid open/close sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool and unplugged if you need to inspect the lid hardware.
- Close lid firmly: Open and close the lid with a firm downward press until you hear or feel the latch engage.
- Check hinge alignment: Make sure the lid is not twisted or obstructed by the wall or cabinets behind the cooker.
- Clean contact areas: Wipe the lid rim and body rim with a damp cloth to remove grease that may prevent full closure.
- Mode limitations: Some Our Place multicookers require the lid to be closed for certain modes (e.g., pressure, rice) and open for others (e.g., sauté). Confirm you are using the correct lid position for the selected mode.
If the LID message remains even when the lid is clearly closed and aligned, the lid sensor or switch may need replacement.
