Possible Causes

Insufficient liquid, Steam leak at gasket, Steam release valve partially open, Faulty pressure sensor calibration

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: If steam is venting continuously, keep hands and face away from the steam path.

  • Observe steam: If you see constant steam from the lid edges or valve, there is a leak. Cancel the program and allow the cooker to cool.
  • Check gasket and valves: Inspect and clean the sealing ring, steam release valve, and float valve. Replace the gasket if it is stiff or cracked.
  • Add liquid: Ensure you have at least the minimum recommended water or cooking liquid.
  • Retry: Run a water-only test to see if the unit can reach pressure within a reasonable time.

If preheating remains excessively long with no visible leaks and adequate liquid, the pressure sensor or control board may be at fault.
