How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is not under pressure before adjusting the steam release.

  • Set to Seal: Rotate or slide the steam release control to the Seal position as indicated in the manual.
  • Install steam cap: Make sure the steam release cap is properly seated on its post and not missing.
  • Check for obstruction: Verify that nothing is blocking the movement of the steam release control.
  • Retry program: Once the valve is in the correct position, restart the pressure program.

If the VENT message remains even when the valve is clearly in the sealing position, the position sensor or valve assembly may need service.
