Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid, Float valve clogged with food, Float valve silicone cap missing or damaged, Excessive lid leakage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If the cooker is hot, use utensils rather than fingers near the float valve area.
- Check liquid level: Ensure you are using at least the minimum recommended water or cooking liquid.
- Clean float valve: After cooling, remove the float valve pin and silicone cap (if removable). Clean all parts and the valve channel thoroughly.
- Inspect silicone cap: Replace the cap if it is cracked, hardened, or missing.
- Verify gasket condition: A leaking gasket can prevent pressure buildup; inspect and replace if needed.
If the float valve still fails to rise with adequate liquid and a good seal, the valve body or lid may be damaged and require replacement.
