Possible Causes

Lid not in required position, Program not fully selected, Faulty Start button, Control board logic fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is on a stable, level surface and properly ventilated.

  • Confirm program selection: Choose a specific mode, adjust time/temperature if required, then press Start firmly once.
  • Check lid and valve: For pressure modes, ensure the lid is locked and the steam release is set to Seal. For sauté modes, some models require the lid to be open.
  • Reset unit: Unplug for 5 minutes, then plug back in and try again.
  • Test other buttons: If some buttons do not respond or require excessive force, the keypad may be failing.

If the cooker consistently refuses to start any program despite correct setup, the user interface board or main control board may need replacement.
