Possible Causes

Open or shorted bottom NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector on main PCB, Damaged sensor wiring under heating plate, Faulty main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and let the cooker cool fully before inspecting the base or internal components.

  • Basic reset: Unplug the unit for 10 minutes, then plug it back in and test with the inner pot installed and empty. Ensure the pot is clean and dry.
  • Check for moisture: Remove the inner pot and inspect the central temperature sensor area (small metal disc or button in the middle of the heating plate). If there is moisture, wipe it dry and let the cooker air-dry for several hours before retrying.
  • Inspect sensor area: Look for burnt marks, deformation, or foreign objects between the heating plate and the sensor. Gently clean with a soft cloth; do not scratch the sensor surface.
  • Internal check (advanced): With the unit unplugged, remove the bottom cover (usually several screws). Locate the bottom NTC sensor clipped to or near the heating plate. Check that its connector is firmly attached to the main PCB and that the wires are not pinched or broken. Reseat the connector.
  • Service recommendation: If the E2 error persists, the NTC sensor or main board is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician. Avoid using the cooker until the fault is corrected, as incorrect temperature control can be hazardous.
