Possible Causes
Open-circuit main heating element, Burnt wiring to heating plate, Loose heater connector on main PCB, Failed triac or relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker before removing any covers. Internal components carry dangerous voltages.
- Confirm symptom: Start a cooking program and feel (carefully) around the exterior after a few minutes. If there is no warmth at all and E6 appears, the heater circuit is suspect.
- Visual inspection (advanced): With the unit unplugged, remove the bottom cover. Inspect the heating element ring under the inner pot for burn marks or breaks. Check the wiring from the element to the main PCB for discoloration or loose connectors.
- Connector check: Reseat the heater connectors on both the element and the PCB. Ensure they are tight and not corroded.
- Board components: Look for obvious damage on the PCB near the heater control (burnt triac, relay, or tracks). If present, the board must be replaced.
- Professional repair: Measuring heater resistance and replacing the element or PCB requires tools and mains-voltage safety knowledge. If you are not experienced, contact an authorized Oursson service center.
