Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid in inner pot, Inner pot not installed, Temperature rising too quickly due to dry heating, Faulty dry-boil protection sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not add cold water to a very hot dry pot; allow it to cool slightly to avoid warping.
- Check contents: Open the lid and verify that there is enough liquid according to the recipe and the minimum level indicated in the Oursson manual. Add water or broth as needed.
- Confirm pot installation: Ensure the inner pot is correctly seated on the heating plate and not tilted.
- Clean sensor area: Remove the pot and clean the heating plate and central sensor of any burnt residue. Dry thoroughly.
- Restart program: After correcting the liquid level and cleaning, restart the cooking program. Monitor for a few minutes to ensure normal operation.
- Sensor fault: If 'H2O' appears even with adequate liquid and proper pot placement, the dry-boil protection sensor or control board may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
