Possible Causes
Shorted temperature sensor, Sensor detached from heating plate, Stuck heater relay or triac, Firmware control fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before inspection. Do not leave the cooker unattended if it is overheating.
- Clean sensor area: Remove burnt food from the inner pot and heating plate. Ensure the central sensor is clean and in contact with the pot bottom.
- Use correct pot: Only use the original Oursson inner pot. Non-original pots may not transfer heat correctly to the sensor.
- Test low-heat mode: Try a 'keep warm' or low-temperature program with water. If it still boils vigorously, the control circuit is likely faulty.
- Service required: Overheating due to control failure is hazardous. Have the temperature sensor and main PCB checked and replaced if necessary.
