• Clean valve: After cooling and depressurizing, remove the valve cap and clean it thoroughly. Ensure the silicone cap is intact and seats properly.
• Inspect components: Check the valve stem and spring (if present) for damage or corrosion. Replace the valve assembly if parts are worn.
• Test again: Run a short pressure cycle with water to verify that steam only escapes briefly while building pressure and then stops.
