Steam or water leaking from around the lid during pressure cooking.

Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Do not attempt to tighten or force the lid while under pressure.

• Stop and depressurize: Cancel the program, unplug the cooker, and allow it to depressurize naturally until the float valve drops.
• Inspect and clean: Remove the sealing ring and wash it with warm soapy water. Clean the lid groove and pot rim thoroughly. Dry all parts.
• Reinstall correctly: Fit the sealing ring evenly into the lid groove, ensuring it is not twisted. Press it all the way around.
• Check for damage: If the ring is cracked, flattened, or hardened, replace it with an original Oursson sealing ring.
• Test with water: Run a short pressure cycle with water only to confirm the leak is resolved.
