Possible Causes

Damaged silicone sealing ring, Misaligned lid, Debris on lid rim, Worn float valve gasket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool. Ensure there is no residual pressure before opening the lid.

  • Inspect sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the inner lid. Check for cracks, hardening, stretching, or cuts. Clean it with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Replace if it does not sit snugly in its groove.
  • Clean lid rim and pot edge: Wipe the stainless-steel rim of the cooker body and the mating surface on the lid. Remove any rice, seeds, or food residue that could prevent a proper seal.
  • Check float valve gasket: Remove the float valve cap and inspect the small silicone gasket. If it is deformed or brittle, replace it with a Philips-compatible gasket.
  • Correct filling: Ensure the pot is not overfilled beyond the MAX line and that there is enough liquid to generate steam. Overfilling or too little liquid can both cause pressure issues.
  • Test again: Reassemble all parts and run a short pressure program with water only. If E7 persists, the lid assembly or internal pressure path may be damaged and should be inspected by a technician.
