Possible Causes
Damaged or hardened lid sealing ring, Misaligned lid or incomplete closure, Leaking float valve gasket, Steam release valve stuck in open position
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool if it has been heating. Do not touch hot steam components.
- Check sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the inner lid. Inspect for cracks, deformation, or hardening. Clean it with warm soapy water and reinstall, ensuring it is fully seated in its groove.
- Inspect lid closure: Verify that the lid locking mechanism engages fully. Clean any food residue from the lid rim and the top edge of the inner pot.
- Float valve and gasket: Remove the float valve pin and silicone gasket. Clean both parts and the valve channel. Replace the gasket if it is stretched or cracked.
- Steam release position: Ensure the steam release valve is set to the "Closed" or "Pressure" position according to your Polaris model markings.
- Water-only test: Run a test with only water. If steam continuously escapes around the lid or from the valve and E7 appears, replace the sealing ring and any suspect lid gaskets.
