Possible Causes
Loose mounting screws on heating plate, Warped heating plate, Inner pot bottom uneven causing flexing, Foreign object trapped under inner pot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the cooker before inspection.
- Check for foreign objects: Remove the inner pot and ensure nothing is trapped between the pot and heating plate.
- Inspect heating plate: Look for visible warping or discoloration. Slight clicking from expansion is normal, but loud or irregular noises are not.
- Tighten mounting screws: From the underside, gently tighten the screws holding the heating plate to the chassis. Do not overtighten to avoid warping.
- Replace warped parts: If the plate is visibly warped or cracked, replace the heating plate assembly and consider replacing a severely warped inner pot.
