Possible Causes
Drifted bottom NTC sensor, Poor contact between inner pot and heating plate, Warped inner pot bottom, Faulty control board temperature calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool before internal checks.
- Check inner pot: Place the pot on a flat surface to see if it rocks. Replace if warped, as this affects heat transfer.
- Clean contact surfaces: Remove any residue from the heating plate and the outside bottom of the inner pot.
- Sensor test: Measure the bottom NTC resistance at room temperature and compare to known values. Replace if significantly off.
- Compare with external thermometer: Run a water test and measure actual temperature vs. setpoint. If deviation is large even with a new sensor and good pot, the main control board may need replacement.
