Mechanical Lid Jam
Lid is stuck and will not open after cooking; float valve appears down and pressure seems released.

Possible Causes
Food residue in lid locking mechanism, Warped lid or pot rim, Misaligned lid lock pin, Slight residual pressure holding seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never force the lid open if there is any sign of remaining pressure (steam noise, high float). Risk of severe burns.
- 1. Confirm no pressure: Gently move the steam release valve to Vent to ensure no steam escapes. If steam is present, wait until it stops.
- 2. Gentle lid movement: Once safe, gently wiggle the lid back and forth while turning it to the open position. Do not use tools to pry.
- 3. Clean lock mechanism: After opening, clean the lid lock pin, slot, and surrounding area thoroughly.
- 4. Inspect for warping: Check the lid and pot rim for damage. Replace the lid assembly or inner pot if warped.
