Steam or water leaks from around the steam release valve during cooking, even when set to Seal.

Safety first: Allow the cooker to depressurize before removing the valve.

• 1. Remove and clean valve: Take off the steam release valve and soak it in warm soapy water. Use a brush to remove any stuck food.
• 2. Inspect silicone seal: Check the underside silicone ring or cap for cracks or deformation. Replace if damaged.
• 3. Check valve seating: Ensure the valve seats squarely on its post and that the spring (if present) is not broken.
• 4. Replace valve assembly: If cleaning does not restore a good seal, install a new steam release valve assembly designed for your PowerXL model.
