Damaged or missing silicone cap on float valve, Food residue around float valve seat, Bent float pin, Incorrectly installed float components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Let the cooker cool and depressurize before working on the float valve.
- 1. Disassemble float valve: Remove the small retaining clip and take out the float pin and silicone cap.
- 2. Clean components: Clean the float, cap, and valve seat thoroughly. Remove any starch or food buildup.
- 3. Inspect silicone cap: Replace the float valve silicone cap if it is cracked, hardened, or misshapen.
- 4. Reassemble correctly: Reinstall the float in the correct orientation with the cap on the inside and the clip on the outside.
- 5. Test pressure: Run a water-only pressure test to ensure the float seals and rises properly.
