Possible Causes
Lid not fully closed or locked, Misaligned lid locking pin, Faulty lid closed microswitch, Damaged lid sensor wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and allow it to cool completely before inspecting the lid mechanism.
- Check lid closure: Open and firmly close the lid. Ensure the handle is fully down and the locking pin engages. Try starting a basic program (e.g. Sauté) to see if the error clears.
- Inspect lid lock area: Look at the metal/plastic locking pin on the lid and the latch slot on the body. Clean away any food residue or dried sauce that may prevent full engagement.
- Check silicone ring seating: Remove the inner lid and silicone sealing ring. Reseat the ring evenly and ensure it is not twisted or bulging, which can prevent the lid from closing fully.
- Test lid switch response: With the unit unplugged, gently press the lid latch area on the body and listen/feel for a faint click from the microswitch. No click may indicate a failed switch.
- When to replace: If the lid closes properly but E1 persists, the lid closed microswitch or its wiring is likely faulty. Replacement requires opening the housing; if you are not confident with electrical repairs, contact a qualified technician.
