Possible Causes

Inner pot not seated correctly, No liquid or insufficient liquid in pot, Food stuck and burning on base, Faulty base temperature sensor (NTC)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool fully. Do not add water to a very hot dry pot.

  • Check liquid level: Open the lid and verify there is enough liquid for the selected program (pressure programs typically require at least 250 ml). Add liquid if necessary.
  • Inspect for burnt-on food: Remove the inner pot and check the bottom for scorched food. Soak and clean thoroughly. Wipe the underside of the pot and the heating plate with a soft, damp cloth (unit unplugged).
  • Verify pot seating: Ensure the stainless steel inner pot is fully seated and flat on the heating plate. Rotate it gently to confirm it is not rocking on debris or a warped base.
  • Cool-down reset: Let the unit cool for at least 20–30 minutes, then plug back in and try a simple program with adequate liquid.
  • When to replace: If E3 appears quickly even with proper liquid and a clean pot, the base NTC temperature sensor may be faulty and require replacement.
