Safety first: Use caution around hot steam. Allow the cooker to cool before disassembling lid components.

• Check steam release valve: Ensure it is set to SEAL and not VENT. Remove and clean it if it feels loose or sticky.
• Inspect sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the inner lid. Look for cracks, hardening, or deformation. Replace if more than 12–18 months old or visibly damaged.
• Clean lid surfaces: Wipe the stainless steel lid surface and the top rim of the inner pot to remove food residue that can prevent sealing.
• Check float valve: Ensure the float valve moves freely and the small silicone cap is intact and flexible. Replace the cap if it is cracked or hardened.
• Test with water only: Run a short pressure cycle with water to confirm the fix.
