Possible Causes
Loose connector between sensor harness and PCB, Oxidized contacts on lid sensor plug, Damaged wiring harness from lid to body, Faulty microcontroller on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Re-seat connectors: Remove the bottom cover and, if needed, the top cover to access all sensor connectors (lid switch, pressure sensor, NTC). Unplug and replug each connector to wipe oxidation from contacts.
- 2. Inspect harness routing: Check the flexible harness that runs through the lid hinge area. Look for pinched, cut, or broken wires caused by repeated lid movement.
- 3. Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or liquid ingress around the control board and connectors. Dry gently with a hairdryer on low (no overheating) and allow to sit before reassembly.
- 4. Test operation: After reassembly, run a simple program and gently move the lid to see if E9 reappears. If movement triggers the error, the harness is likely damaged internally.
Note: If wiring and connectors are intact, the fault may be on the main PCB, requiring board replacement.
