Possible Causes
Motor overloaded by very thick mixture, Jammed mixing knife, Worn motor brushes or rotor (older units), Faulty motor current sensor on power board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker from the mains before touching the bowl, knife, or base. Hot contents can cause burns.
Step-by-step:
- 1. Remove load and reset: Take the mixing bowl out of the base. Empty any very thick or dough-like mixture into another container. Check that nothing is stuck between the mixing knife and the bowl bottom.
- 2. Check knife rotation: With the bowl empty and cool, try rotating the mixing knife from underneath (using a cloth or glove). It should turn smoothly without grinding or binding. If it is stiff or seized, the mixing knife assembly is likely faulty.
- 3. Inspect bowl seating: Reinsert the bowl, ensuring it is fully seated on the drive coupling and that the handle is correctly aligned. A mis-seated bowl can cause abnormal motor load.
- 4. Reduce quantity and viscosity: If the error occurred during kneading or thick mixtures, reduce batch size and add a little liquid. Restart with a lower speed and gradually increase.
- 5. Cool-down period: Leave the unit unplugged for 15–20 minutes to allow the motor and power electronics module to cool. Then plug back in and test with water only at low speed.
- 6. If error persists: The motor assembly or power control board (inverter / current sensing circuit) may be defective. Do not continue forcing operation; contact an authorized Vorwerk service center.
