Possible Causes
Open-circuit circular heating element, Loose or burnt element connectors, Damaged wiring harness to fan element, Faulty fan element relay/triac on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the isolator and let the oven cool.
- Access the circular element: Remove the oven shelves and back panel inside the cavity (usually held by screws). The circular element is mounted around the convection fan.
- Inspect the element: Look for visible breaks, bulges, or burn marks on the element ring. Check the terminals for heat damage.
- Test resistance: Disconnect the element wires and measure resistance with a multimeter. A typical reading is 20–40 Ω. Infinite resistance means the element is blown and must be replaced.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the element to the control board for signs of overheating or mechanical damage. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control board: If the element and wiring are intact, the control board output may be faulty. This is a more advanced repair and often requires a new board.
