Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Seized fan bearings, Obstruction in fan blades, Faulty fan motor relay/triac on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before working on the oven.
- Access the convection fan: Remove the oven shelves and the rear internal panel to expose the fan and circular element. On some Candy models, rear external access is also required.
- Check for obstruction: Try spinning the fan blade by hand. It should rotate freely. Remove any food debris or foreign objects.
- Inspect the motor: If the fan is stiff or seized, the motor bearings are likely worn. The complete fan motor assembly should be replaced.
- Electrical test: Disconnect the motor and measure resistance across its terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Compare with service manual values if available.
- Control board output: If the motor tests OK, the issue may be with the control board not supplying power. This typically requires board diagnosis and replacement by a technician.
