Possible Causes
Failed low-voltage power supply on PCB, Shorted component on main control board, Surge damage, Loose mains connections at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power at the isolator and verify no voltage is present before opening the terminal cover or control panel.
- Check mains terminal block: Access the rear of the oven and inspect the mains terminal block. Tighten any loose screws and look for signs of overheating or melting. Replace the block if damaged.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the supply cable is intact and correctly clamped. Check for discoloration or burnt insulation.
- Control board inspection: Remove the front control panel to access the main PCB. Look for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or damaged tracks. If visible damage is present, the board must be replaced.
- Do not attempt component-level repair unless you are qualified in electronics; incorrect repair can create a fire or shock hazard.
- After replacement: When fitting a new board, transfer any configuration jumpers as per Candy service documentation and verify correct wiring before powering on.
