Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display board and main PCB, Oxidized connectors, Faulty display (UI) board, Faulty main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains before removing the control panel.
- Access the control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control fascia. Carefully pull it forward to expose the display board and wiring.
- Check ribbon cables: Reseat the flat ribbon cable(s) between the display board and the main control board. Ensure they are fully inserted and locked.
- Inspect connectors: Look for corrosion or contamination on plug contacts. Clean gently with contact cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
- Visual inspection: Examine the display PCB for burnt components or cracked solder joints, especially around connectors.
- Board replacement: If reseating cables does not clear the error, either the display board or main board may be defective. Replacement is usually the practical solution.
