Possible Causes
Stuck touch key on glass panel, Moisture on touch controls, Damaged touch sensor PCB, Faulty connection between touch panel and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the control panel. For simple cleaning, you may leave power on but do not open the appliance.
- Clean the touch area: Wipe the glass control panel with a soft, dry cloth. Remove any moisture, grease, or cleaning residue that may cause false touches.
- Power reset: Turn off the oven at the mains for 5–10 minutes, then restore power to reset the touch controller.
- Inspect from inside: If the error persists, disconnect power, remove the control panel, and inspect the touch PCB and its ribbon cable. Ensure the cable is firmly seated and not damaged.
- Check for cracks: Look for cracks in the glass where the touch sensors are located; this can cause permanent key activation.
- Replace touch panel/PCB: If a specific key is always detected as pressed or the panel is cracked, replace the touch control assembly as per Candy parts list.
