Possible Causes
Cooling fan running at reduced speed, Blocked ventilation grills, Faulty cavity insulation or displaced insulation, Over-sensitive safety thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool completely.
- Check external ventilation: Ensure that the built-in cabinet cut-outs and front ventilation slots are not blocked by panels, foil, or other appliances.
- Inspect cooling fan: Access the tangential cooling fan at the top rear. Confirm that it spins freely and is not clogged with dust or grease. Clean the blades and housing.
- Test fan operation: Reconnect power, start a low-temperature program, and verify that the cooling fan starts when the oven heats. If it does not, test the fan motor and replace if necessary.
- Check safety thermostat: If the fan is working and ventilation is correct, the safety thermostat may be tripping prematurely. Test and replace as needed.
