Possible Causes
Clock not programmed after power loss, Faulty timer circuit on control board, Damaged backup capacitor or battery (if fitted)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is needed for basic checks; only open the appliance if you are competent and power is disconnected.
- Set the clock: Many Candy ovens will not operate until the time is set. Follow the user manual to set the current time on the display.
- Check for child lock: Ensure that any child lock or key lock function is disabled.
- Power reset: Turn off the oven at the mains for 5 minutes, then restore power and set the clock again.
- Control board fault: If the clock cannot be set or resets immediately, the timer circuit on the control board may be defective and require replacement.
