Possible Causes
Tripped house breaker, Loose or burned power connections at terminal block, Blown internal fuse on control board, Failed control transformer or board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker before removing the oven from the cabinet or accessing the rear terminal block.
- Check breaker: Verify that the double-pole breaker for the oven is not tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Inspect terminal block: Pull the oven out enough to access the rear. Check the power cord or conduit connections at the terminal block for burned wires or loose screws. Repair and tighten as needed.
- Measure voltage: With a multimeter and appropriate safety precautions, verify that 240V (or 208V) is present at the terminal block. If not, the issue is in the house wiring or breaker.
- Internal fuse: Some Dacor models have an internal line fuse on the control board. With power off, check this fuse for continuity and replace with the exact type if blown. Investigate why it blew (e.g., shorted component).
- Replace control board: If power is present and fuses are good but the panel remains dead, the control board or display board is likely defective and must be replaced.
Warning: Measuring live voltage is hazardous. If you are not experienced, have a professional perform these checks.
