Possible Causes
Aging VFD or LED display, Failing display power supply on control board, Loose ribbon cable to display, Heat damage to UI board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Check brightness settings: Some Dacor models allow display brightness adjustment. Verify it is not set to low or night mode.
- Inspect connections: Remove the control panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the display and main control. Look for corrosion or loose connectors.
- Board replacement: If the display remains dim or segments are missing, the display/UI board or main control board (depending on design) will need replacement.
Warning: Displays are not typically repairable at component level; replacing the board is the standard fix.
