Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the oven at the breaker before removing any panels or touching internal wiring.
- Reset power: Turn off the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore power. If F1 reappears immediately, suspect the control or keypad.
- Check keypad operation: Try pressing several keys. If some keys do not respond or the error appears when a specific key is pressed, the keypad/touchpad is likely defective and should be replaced.
- Test oven sensor: With power off, access the oven temperature sensor from inside the cavity (usually at the back wall). Disconnect its connector and measure resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature (~70°F / 21°C), it should read about 1080–1100 Ω. If it is open, shorted, or far out of range, replace the sensor.
- Inspect wiring: Check the harness between the sensor and the control board for burns, cuts, or loose connections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Replace EOC: If keypad and sensor test good and wiring is intact, the electronic oven control board is likely faulty and should be replaced.
Warning: The control board operates at line voltage. Only work on it with power disconnected. If you are unsure, hire a professional.
