Possible Causes
Shorted touchpad circuit, Moisture inside control panel, Damaged keypad ribbon, Faulty UI scanning circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power at the breaker before working on the control panel.
- Dry and clean: If the error followed a spill or heavy steam, allow the control panel to dry for several hours with power off. Wipe the exterior gently.
- Check keypad response: After restoring power, test each key. If certain keys do not respond or trigger F11, the touchpad is likely defective.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and inspect the keypad ribbon for cracks or corrosion. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Replace keypad/UI: If F11 persists, replace the touchpad/control panel assembly or the UI board as specified for your Dacor model.
Warning: Do not attempt to disassemble the sealed membrane keypad; it is not serviceable and must be replaced as a unit.
