Possible Causes

Defective oven temperature sensor probe, Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose or corroded sensor connector at control board, Failed EOC sensor input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing the oven interior or control area.

  • Access sensor: Locate the oven temperature sensor inside the cavity (usually upper back wall). Remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
  • Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature (~70°F / 21°C) it should be around 1080–1100 Ω. If it reads open (OL), 0 Ω, or far outside this range, replace the sensor.
  • Check harness: If the sensor tests good, inspect the wiring from the sensor to the control board for cuts, burns, or pinched sections, especially where it passes through the rear wall. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
  • Inspect connectors: Reseat the sensor connector at the control board. Look for corrosion or loose pins.
  • Replace control board: If sensor and wiring are good but F3 persists, the EOC sensor circuit is likely defective and the board should be replaced.

Warning: Avoid pulling too hard on the sensor wire; you can damage the harness behind the oven wall.
