Possible Causes

Shorted touchpad membrane, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Liquid spill into control panel, Faulty UI control board scanning circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Shut off power at the breaker before working on the control panel.

  • Check for stuck keys: With power off, press each button several times to ensure none are physically stuck. Clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent; avoid excessive moisture.
  • Dry out panel: If the error followed a spill or steam event, leave power off and allow the panel to dry for several hours. Do not use heat guns or hair dryers directly on the panel.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and inspect the keypad ribbon cable for cracks, kinks, or corrosion at the connector. Reseat the cable firmly.
  • Replace keypad or UI: If F7 persists and certain keys do not respond, replace the touchpad/control panel assembly or the UI board, depending on how your Dacor model is constructed.

Warning: Operating with a shorted keypad can cause unintended heating or unsafe operation. Address this fault before further use.
