How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before testing switches or accessing the control board.
- Door switch check: Press the door switch plunger by hand and see if the light goes off (with power restored briefly). If not, test the switch with a multimeter and replace if stuck or open.
- Control panel switch: If your model has a separate light button, test its function. A stuck button may require replacing the touchpad or switch.
- Control relay: If switches are good, the light relay on the control board may be welded closed. Replace the control board to correct this.
Warning: Leaving the light on continuously can overheat the bulb and socket; address the issue promptly.
