Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between touch panel and main PCB, failed user interface board, low voltage on control supply from main PCB, liquid ingress into control panel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker and confirm the control panel is not live before disassembly.

  • Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel (usually from the top or inside the door area). Gently pull the panel forward.
  • Check ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon cable between the display/touch panel and the main PCB. Ensure it is fully inserted and locked in place. Remove and reinsert to clean contacts if necessary.
  • Inspect for moisture or grease: Look for signs of liquid spills or steam damage on the control board. If the board is corroded or tracks are damaged, replace the user interface module.
  • Measure control voltage: With power restored (only if you are qualified and using proper precautions), measure the low‑voltage supply (often 5V or 12V DC) from the main PCB to the UI board. If missing, the main PCB power supply is faulty and the board must be replaced.
  • Reassemble: After reseating cables or replacing the UI/main PCB, reassemble the panel and test all buttons and display functions.
