Possible Causes
Uninitialized electronic clock, failed timer PCB section, stuck timer buttons, corrupted control firmware
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is required for basic reset, but disconnect power if removing panels.
- Initialize clock: Many Etna ovens require the time to be set before any heating function will operate. Press the clock button and use the +/- or rotary selector to set the correct time, then confirm as per the user manual.
- Reset control: Disconnect the oven from mains for 2–3 minutes to reset the electronics. Restore power and attempt to set the clock again.
- Check buttons: If certain keys do not respond, the touch panel or button PCB may be faulty. Inspect for stuck or damaged buttons and replace the user interface board if necessary.
- Firmware issue: If the error persists after reset and the UI board is known good, the main PCB may have corrupted firmware. Replacement of the main PCB is usually required.
