Possible Causes
Tripped thermal cut‑out thermostat, blocked cooling vents, failed cooling fan, degraded cavity insulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool completely before attempting any reset.
- Check ventilation: Ensure the built‑in oven has correct ventilation clearances as per Etna installation instructions. Remove any obstructions from the front and rear vents.
- Reset thermal cut‑out: Many Etna ovens have a manual reset thermostat on the top or rear of the cavity. Remove the oven from the cabinet, locate the thermostat, and press the small reset button if present.
- Inspect cooling fan: Confirm that the cooling fan runs during operation (see E07). Replace the cooling fan motor if it does not operate.
- Insulation check: Inspect the cavity insulation for collapse or displacement that might cause hot spots. Reposition or replace insulation as needed.
- Re‑test: After resetting and correcting airflow issues, run the oven at a moderate temperature and monitor for recurrence.
