How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the control panel glass or PCB.

  • Clean the panel: Wipe the touch glass with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use excessive moisture, which can affect capacitive sensing.
  • Power reset: Disconnect power for several minutes to reset the touch controller. Restore power and test.
  • Check ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the touch glass/PCB and the main PCB.
  • Inspect for cracks: Look for cracks in the glass or damage to the touch sensor tracks. Replace the touch control assembly if damaged.
  • Grounding check: Ensure the oven is properly earthed at the terminal block. Poor grounding can cause erratic touch behavior.
