Possible Causes
Door not locking properly, pyrolytic temperature sensor fault, safety thermostat open, main PCB not enabling high‑temperature relays
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the oven is empty and racks are removed before any self‑clean attempt. Disconnect power before internal checks.
- Door lock check: Confirm that the door closes fully and the lock engages when starting pyrolysis. If the lock does not move, inspect the door lock assembly as in E11.
- Safety thermostat: Locate the high‑temperature safety thermostat dedicated to pyrolytic operation. Test for continuity; replace if open.
- Sensor verification: Some Etna pyrolytic models use a dedicated high‑temp sensor. Test its resistance according to the service data and replace if out of range.
- Control board: If all safety devices are OK, the main PCB may not be enabling the pyrolytic relays. Replacement of the PCB is usually required.
