Oven door will not close fully, heat escapes, poor temperature control

Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool before working on the door.

• Inspect hinges: Open the door fully and check for excessive play or sagging. If the door drops or does not align with the cabinet front, the hinges are likely worn.
• Remove door: Many Etna ovens have hinge locks. Flip the locking tabs, partially close the door, and lift it off. Inspect the hinge arms and receivers for damage.
• Replace hinges: Install new Etna‑specified hinges on both sides to ensure even support. Refit the door and test closure.
• Check door seal: Inspect the rubber gasket around the cavity. Replace if hardened, torn, or flattened.
